Our team brings a legal advocacy background and unique experience producing content for direct legal impact— powerful sentencing and mitigation films.

Our advocacy films have been submitted to courts and viewed by judges in a number of cases for resentencing and release of incarcerated people. We understand the legal process and how to work with defense teams to create short films that help tell the story of your client to supplement mitigation reports and legal filings. 

We work together with legal and advocacy teams to design a video-based strategy, which may include: 

  • Producing a documentary-style mitigation film that may include interviews with the client, family and friends, etc.;

  • Consulting on how to use existing materials (video, still photographs, letters, recordings, etc.) to more effectively support legal defense;

  • Mounting a visual story-based grassroots advocacy campaign to support an individual defendant or broader advocacy goal.
